Are you a Christian that is questing to understand God better? It is possible to understand our God entirely from watching the TV. Watching television will enlighten you on the different ways we can describe our God that we still not convenient with. Most of the Christians are still not conversant with the various names of God. Each name of God has a significant meaning. Most of us believers we only know of God has Jesus. In Philippians, it is stated that God is greater than any other name; therefore all the great names are his. Men of God that are usually on TV teach on the different names of our God and their meaning.
There are fourteen other names of God as described by men of God. God can also be referred to as Adonai to mean the Lord God. Yahweh is also a term that is used to describe our God. Yahweh is not a very new term, it has been used in the bible severally. Many people use the term in their prayers and while singing out to God. The other in which we can describe our God us El Shaddai which means that our God is all powerful. This means that our God is all powerful and there is no strength that is greater than him. The other term that can be used to describe Our Lord is El Roi it means that our Creator is always looking at us. In the bible there are followers of God that had seen God do mighty things to them even when they thought they were alone. For instance when Hagar was sent away by Abraham and wondered in the desert with no water to give his son God showed up and provided water. The fifth name that can describe our Lord is Elohim which means father God. Yahweh was present since the start of creation. It is through his words that there was a creation. Hence if he had the power to perform these miracles then God has power over everything in this world.
Another term that can describe our loving God Jesus Christ is that God is our provider. Our God can grant us everything that we desire according to his bounty. Another way in which we can describe our God is Ropheka which means that our God heals. The creator of the universe is capable of comforting us from every heartache that we are suffering from. God can also be described as a consuming fire. God is ready to take care of us even when we offend him. This means that no matter the case God will always be on our side. God can also be described as shalom meaning the God of peace. The Almighty is willing to save us from all the distressing situation we are facing.
